Mario Rohl

Mario Rohl was born on 27 June 1966 in West-Berlin, Germany. In 1986 he became a Police Officer in the German Federal Police. In 1992 Mr. Rohl passed the Police Special Forces Training and joined the Embassy Protection Squad.

He was posted from 1993 till 1994 in Belgrade/Yugoslavia as a Bodyguard to the Ambassador and Security-Officer for the Embassy during the Yugoslavian Civilan War He was later stationed from 1997 - 1998 in Lagos/Nigeria.

In 2002 he passed the Instructors-Training Course for Police ATF-Instructors and was awarded his Instructors license. He is presently serving in the Headquarters of the German Federal Police in Berlin.

Mr. Rohl began his martial arts training in the summer of 1975 in the age of 9 Years with Judo. He bagan his study of karate in 1979 in the age of 13 and was self taught via books and friends until finding a formal school in which to train in 1982. He practiced Shotokan Karate from 1982-1989 before venturing out to train in various styles like Kun Tai Ko- Karate, Kyukushinkai-Karate, Kickboxing and Jiu-Jutsu.

In 1995 he bagan training in Shorin-Ryu Seibukan and Matsubayashi-Ryu as well as Kobayashi-Ryu and Higa-Ryu Karate.

He and his wife Silvia have been teaching at their Berlin Dojo since 2006. They continue to teach Shorin Ryu Seibukan and Matsubayashi-Ryu, but there is also an influrence from the Shaolin-Temple Berlin where they train together with the
Shaolin-Monks once per week.
